Our friendly Guest House is located in the heart of Mahabalipuram (or Mamallapuram as we usually call our City), Port City of the ancient 7th century Pallava Dynasty and site of their internationally famous Shore Temple, Arjuna's Penance, Five Rathas, and Cave Temples.

We offer the traveler 15 rooms set on three floors, all equipped with comfortable double beds, tables, chairs, cupboards, cross-ventilating windows, ceiling fans, private baths and toilets, while four or five also come with water heaters, televisions and air conditioning. Our room rates are set with the budget traveler in mind and range from 200Rs to 700Rs in the low season to 400Rs. to 1000Rs. in the high season.  Checkout time is noon.  Our staff are all fluent in English. Note: Please do not bring a guide or tout - we will not pay the commission he demands.

All of our rooms include anti-mosquito mesh over all windows, granite and tile floors, and very secure locks. Our staff maintains our rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene and all bathrooms are disinfected before your occupancy.  Don't be surprised if your room has recently been painted!

Adjacent to our premises are also Internet and local and international telephone calling facilities.24 hour laundry service is offered by our housekeeper at very reasonable rates. There are many restaurants within a short walking distance of Siva Guest House as well as many shops offering Indian handicrafts, works of art, sculptures and hand tailored clothing...and we are just a short walk from the beach! Our Travel Agency, Siva Tour and Travels, provides airport pick-up and drop-off, an all-India private car service with three AC Taxis offering guided tours of South India, including Kerala, Mysore, Mountain areas and wildlife reserves, Hampi and Goa. We also offer ticketing services to all railways and airlines,

Room reservations are available via Internet/email or by telephone. We are very popular so make your arrangements early as we are often full by noon even in the low season.
